Overview

Are you keen to get a good start on the second half of the year? To eat great food, connect with colleagues, and explore how necessity creates opportunity for innovation?

Join Engineers Australia's North West Regional Group in Burnie for the next instalment of their popular Networking Breakfast Series.

As we move past the midway point of another exciting year, the breakfast will bring together the engineers in the North West region to network and share your experiences and stories with your peers.

We'll kick off with informal conversations as breakfasts are ordered and delivered, an opportunity to warm up and meet other industry professionals and broaden your knowledge of what is happening around town.

Speaker Robert Miller put a spin on the old adage “necessity is the mother of invention", highlighting how a necessity (i.e. seemingly a disadvantage) creates the opportunity for innovation and how these innovations if successful can be very disruptive. Robert will draw upon historical examples from industries, sport teams, and individual leaders to illustrate triumph over adversity.

Please arrive at 7:00am for a 7:15am start.

Attendees may order breakfast at their own cost to have during the event (please order as you arrive).
