This Risk Seminar is a multi-speaker, multi-topic seminar that covers existing risk management concepts through to the next generation of risk decisions techniques for complex systems; how risk is developing and how it will be integrated into the decision making processes of the future. This seminar will support Engineers in risk topic areas including safety, project management, risk culture and decision making.

This Seminar is focused on Risk management applicable to all Engineering disciplines and supplies specific risk management CPD required to meet your CPEng & NPER requirements. The seminar areas of focus include the managing of complex risks, budgets and contingency; decision culture; looking at the psychology of safety and realising that risk management is more than just AS3100; and the difficulties associated with risk integration into the day to day decisions.

David is a recognised international expert in safety management within organisations across numerous high-risk industries.  He is the Founder and Managing Director of Safety 21, a fast-growing safety consultancy offering solutions based on the latest research and practice. David is the former General Manager Health, Safety and Environment for Origin Energy.  Prior to that he was the Head of Quality, Safety and Sustainability for Siemens (Asia-Pacific Region), and the Manager of Safety Systems and Accreditation for Queensland Rail.  He has held Safety Executive Leadership positions across several high-hazard industries with international operations for the last 20 years, across public, private and government organisations.

Prior to this, Pedram was Jacobs Technical Director Risk across Asia Pacific and also Head of Planning & Risk for UGL in a wide range of projects across Water, Power Generation, Coal, LNG/Oil & Gas. Pedram is a member of the EA Infrastructure Advisory Panel, a prestigious panel of 12 industry representatives who represent Engineers Australia views and inform infrastructure policy and public affairs work by Australian Governments.
