Corporate social responsibility is no longer optional. When it is done well, it can enhance organisational reputation, lift employee engagement and, most importantly, deliver positive and lasting impact in the community sector. This session will explore the concept of engaged philanthropy, based on long-term, multi-faceted partnerships, nurtured through values alignment, commitment and trust. You will be invited to share the journey of the Origin Energy Foundation which has impacted the lives of over 62,000 Australian students since its inception 10 years ago – how it has remained true to the cause of education - chosen by Origin’s employees as the best way to break the cycle of disadvantage. We’ll explore what makes a great partnership, examine where things can go wrong, and the role of leaders in setting direction, maintaining connection and maximising ongoing support.
