Female engineers work on an endless array of projects - NASA space suits, cutting edge electronics, structures, aeroplanes, machinery, space and literally anything you can think of.
Join us for our ‘Girls Talk’ online forum where you’ll hear from female engineers from various engineering disciplines.
The format of the session includes a presentation from each speaker detailing projects they’ve worked on, what their day to day engineering life entails, where their career has taken them and what inspired them to choose engineering as a profession. This will be followed by Q&A, facilitated by our Women in Engineering Chair.
This session is open to female students from years 7-12 who are interested in a career in engineering, maths, science or just want to hear what engineering is about.
Representatives from the University of Newcastle & TAFE NSW will also participate in the Q&A session to answer questions on course information and subject selection.
Upon registration, you will receive a link to access Your Virtual STEM Resource Kit which has all the information you need about the University of Newcastle and TAFE NSW pathways to STEM professions.
This session is free to attend.
