Learn about the structural design behind design of some of the most recently completed tall building projects both in Australia and around the world.
This presentation describes the key considerations of the design of Tall and Super Tall buildings and uses case studies from some recently completed projects to provide examples of varying design approaches to tall buildings.
The following projects will be used as case studies to describe different structural designs
• Crown Resorts -275m (Sydney),
• Australia 108 - 317m (Melbourne),
• Merdeka 118 – 644m (Kuala Lumpur)
• ICD Brookfield Place -282m (Dubai)
The session will use the above project examples to provide a fundamental understanding of movement control, wind assessment, lateral stability and constructability.
