An Engineering Education Australia webinar:
Engineering projects must include consideration to safety that is appropriate for the scale and nature of the design. Safety in Design Planning is the determination of which safety tools and activities are appropriate and the resourcing and scheduling of these activities in the project.
Having a strong Safety in Design (SiD) plan gives guidance to the engineers and designers conducting the work, and confidence in the quality of safety outcomes of the design. A good SiD plan systematically identifies the steps of Safety in Design and other hazard management techniques that are relevant and need to occur in the project, and identifies what resources and effort will be required.
This webinar will step through a process for planning Safety in Design work, leaving participants with an understanding of what to look for in a good SiD plan and an appreciation of the careful planning that goes into SiD work.
