About the Event

The $5.4 billion (AUD) Cross River Rail project is Queensland’s highest priority infrastructure project.

The project will deliver a new 10.2km rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, that includes 5.9km twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and Brisbane CBD.

It also includes construction of four new high-capacity underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, Roma Street, upgrade of two existing stations at Dutton Park and Exhibition, six station rebuilds from Salisbury to Fairfield in Brisbane’s south, and three new Gold Coast stations at Pimpama, Helensvale North and Merrimac.

More than just a rail project, Cross River Rail will transform the way people travel across South East Queensland, generate thousands of jobs, activate urban renewal and help the economy keep growing.

This presentation will provide an overview of the Cross River Rail project with a more detailed, technical focus around the underground station design development. The presentation will provide fly throughs and media throughout.

The presentation will be provided by Laura West (Area Engineering Project Manager | Boggo Road Station) and Joe Donohue (Associate Principal, Arup) from the Cross River Rail project.
