Chris Walker
Manager – Water & Environment, Covey Associates Pty Ltd

Dr Christopher Walker has been employed at Covey Associates for over 14 years and is an Associate and the Manager of the Water & Environment branch of the company, which has offices in Maroochydore, North Lakes, Tamworth, Armidale and a visiting office in Papua New Guinea. Chris has developed and designed stormwater treatment systems for numerous projects in Australia and abroad. He has been involved in stormwater research for over 15 years, commencing with his undergraduate studies at the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC). His PhD research focused on urban lake design and management and he has been highly active in this field. Chris is also world-expert in the use of constructed floating wetlands (CFWs) for water treatment and has developed several novel designs and applications of this technology. He has published several key papers on floating wetland systems and is actively involved in research projects with Australian and International University research bodies.

 

Terry Lucke FIEAust, CPEng, RPEQ, EngExec, NER
Senior Engineer, Covey Associates Pty Ltd

Dr Terry Lucke is a Senior Engineer at Covey Associates. Prior to this role, he was Associate Professor in Hydraulic and Civil Engineering at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia from 2010-2020 where he led a team of researchers in the Stormwater Research Group. The focus of Terry’s research included the development and evaluation of innovative stormwater and wastewater management systems, and the advancement of Water Sensitive Urban Design practices. Terry has a PhD in Water Engineering from the University of South Australia. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer, a Fellow of Engineers Australia and a Chartered Engineering Executive. Terry remains active in the research field and has published.
