Engineers Australia’s Western Australia office is moving to the Perth CBD later this year. After reviewing several possible sites, Engineers Australia has signed a lease for level 10 Allendale Square, 77 St Georges Terrace.

Feedback from members showed overwhelming support for a move to the city centre, with greater access to public transport options and amenities. 

The selected space will be completely refurbished to provide a member lounge that includes some quiet rooms, an auditorium which will seat up to 150 people and adjacent multi-purpose function space for networking events and the like. There will be a separate webinar/ podcast room designed with additional soundproofing.  

A critical factor in member support for the move was finding a property that achieved a minimum NABERS rating of 4.5 stars and delivering a fit out that aligns with our sustainability goals. Engineers Australia has appointed BuildWell Group to design and construct the project. BuildWell Group is a local Perth business, who have worked on large projects with clients such as RAC, LJ Hooker commercial and recently successfully fitted out the Business News office, also located on St Georges Terrace.

The timing for the move is dependent on the successful approval of the development application lodged with the City of Perth. We look forward to sharing more news as the project progresses.
