Meet your 2022 people and project award entrants.

We will be celebrating 2022’s outstanding people and the best engineering projects from around the country in August

The state-based people and project awards nights will be held in-person across the country in August for the first time since 2019. Newcastle and South Australia’s event will be on Tuesday 9 August while Western Australia, Queensland, Sydney, Tasmania, Victoria, Canberra, and Northern Territory follow on Thursday August 11.

The Engineer of the Year Awards will recognise outstanding engineers who show innovation and resourcefulness in their work.

The project awards recognise Australia’s top engineering projects and the teams behind them. They inspire and encourage engineering distinction through teamwork, innovation, and technical excellence.

This year we have reached out to the membership base for nominations and can now reveal the entrants for each state and territory.

Following the ceremonies, the finalists for the Sir William Hudson Award and people award in each state will be put forward as nominees for the national Engineers Australia Excellence Awards—People and Projects, which will take place on Wednesday 5 October in Sydney.

The locations for the People and Projects award ceremonies for each state and territory will be announced shortly through our Awards website.
