Engineers Australia will be celebrating an extremely proud milestone throughout 2019: Our Centenary.
Engineering plays a critical role in the lives of all Australians and now is the time to look back and marvel at our many accomplishments and advancements encapsulated within 100 years. It’s also the time to look forward and imagine our future of continuing our legacy of supporting human progress.
How will we expand the boundaries of what is possible?
Nationally, Engineers Australia will be hosting webinars and events to showcase and celebrate what engineering has looked like, how it has developed and how engineering has shaped our society in the last 100 years.
Locally and right here in the Territory, we will be looking at historical engineering excellence, some of the innovative ways Territorians have circumnavigated our many unique trials and obstacles and the way engineering has advanced across a millennium.

Leadership Forum
A panel of Territorian Leaders will discuss key elements to leadership and how guidance, leadership, and innovation has developed the Territory as we know it today.
International Women’s Day Breakfast
Renowned Territory leaders, both male and female champions for change, will look to the future as we celebrate International Women’s Day and the movement for a #BalanceforBetter.
Understanding LED
An Electrical Engineer’s Guide to the History and Innovation behind the humble LED. How will this technology develop our future? Where will this technology be in the next 100 years?
Generation Exchange
Professional and sage engineers gather together with students, graduates and young engineers to share experiences, historical events, technological advancements, and invaluable advice. This year’s Generation Exchange (Gen X), will add a twist with a focus on celebrating our centenary.
The Ultimate Drone Challenge
The development of drone technology, the opportunity to investigate its further possibilities in the next 100 years and its uses throughout engineering disciplines in a fun, interactive environment.
Fellows Luncheon 2019
Welcome new members who have gained their Fellow Status in this Fellow exclusive celebration of the past, present, and future. Fellow Members will discuss how ‘Anything is Possible’ as we look towards the next 100 years in engineering.
