Media Release | Engineers Australia welcomes Morrison Ministry

Engineers Australia congratulates the Coalition and Prime Minister the Hon Scott Morrison MP on their re-election and welcomes the Government’s new ministry.

“Energy, infrastructure and innovation are the priorities for the engineering profession and Engineers Australia looks forward to working with the new ministry,” said Engineers Australia Chief Executive Officer, Peter McIntyre.

“Engineers lead the design of solutions for the future and, in an increasingly technical world, a strong pipeline of engineers is in the national interest.

“We particularly look forward to engaging with cabinet members on the engineering-intensive portfolios and welcome back Deputy Prime Minister the Hon Michael McCormack, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport and Regional Development, the Hon Angus Taylor MP in the revised role of Minister for Energy and Emissions Reduction and the Hon Karen Andrews MP as Minister for Industry, Science and Technology.”
